The local amenities are at about 8 km in Carmaux or 20 km in Albi. All health care is available within 20km. Sports like golf and rugby take about a half houre drive. Toulouse has a very high qualified rugby team. Sport Flying is possible in Albi and Rodez

The direct area, called La Segala, is very active with sales in "Vide Greniers", a kind of garage sales on a village scale. Culture and nature offer exellent and peaceful walking and cycling routes.

Albi is famous for its special Catharen Cathedral and paintings from Toulouse Lautrec. Saint Antonin Noble Val and Cordes sur Ciel are close by and also historic tourist attractions. There are many nice towns and villages like St Bertrand de Comminges, Roccamadour, Figeac, St. Suzanne, Cahors, Moissac. Cape Decouvert is an aqua center with lots of entertainment especially for young people. The Catarenstreek knows next Montsegur, still many places with historical heritage. Toulouse is also a lively city with entertainment.

The mountainous and the forrest area of Le Montagne Noir begins at 60 km, the Pyrenees at 160 km. The Pyrenees specially offer many opportunities for recreation in summer and winter as sky reorts, mountain routes.

The mediterranean sea at Montpellier is approximately 3 hours away (220km).

 

Access

Flying from the UK to Rodez, Carcassone or Toulouse (about 50/140/90 km away). Recently, Easyjet also flies from Amsterdam at Toulouse. The nearest train station with connections for Toulouse and Paris, is situated in Carmaux (8km). Highway connections are within 6 km (N88 and A68) going to Toulouse or Clermont-Ferrand. In the surrounding area is a good road network with little traffic.

 

Interior

Ground floor: The entrance leads to the lounge which is connected to the fully furnished kitchen with dining area and utility room and serves as an entrance to the spacious sunny conservatory. The floor has also an office/bedroom and a hallway to a large bedroom and bathroom (with bath, shower, toilet and sink). The hallway also gives access to a separate laundry room, garage and to the porch.
